On May 3, 2025, as part of the course “Project Management Methodologies in the Field of Information Technologies” at the Department of Project Management in Information Technologies of NTU “KhPI”, a guest lecture was held by Serhii Kybish — Project Manager at airSlate, a global leader in digital transformation and document workflow automation.
The lecture, titled “Kanban Methodology: Implementation Specifics”, sparked significant interest among students of the “Project Management in IT” educational program. Agile project management methods are key components in the professional training of modern IT specialists.
In his presentation, Serhii Kybish thoroughly covered the following aspects:

the core principles and philosophy of the Kanban methodology;

the advantages and limitations of this approach compared to other Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum;

the critical stages of implementing Kanban in product and service teams;

configuring workflow visualization and defining work-in-progress limits (WIP limits);

the mental shift teams must make when transitioning from traditional models to Agile management.

Special attention was given to the speaker’s practical experience at airSlate. Mr. Serhii shared how his teams transformed internal processes using Kanban, the challenges they faced during the transition, and the tools that helped them overcome these obstacles. He also presented real examples of Kanban boards used in daily work and explained how performance is tracked using key metrics such as lead time, cycle time, and throughput.
In the final part of the lecture, students had the opportunity to ask questions not only about the lecture topic but also about the practical experience of working as a project manager in a global IT company.
