On September 24, 2025, a joint (binary) class was held at the Department of Project Management in Information Technologies of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” (NTU “KhPI”) within the course “IT Project Management.”
This event was part of the implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation between NTU “KhPI” and the NGO “Project Management Institute Ukraine.” The goal of these joint initiatives is to develop students’ modern project management competencies, strengthen practical skills, and support their career growth.
The class was co-led by Marina Hrynchenko, Head of the Department of Project Management in IT, and Alona Postina, PMP, Technical Project Manager at REMED, and Vice President of Marketing & Communications at PMI Ukraine Chapter.
Alona Postina has over 10 years of experience in IT project management, particularly in the eHealth domain, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Software Engineering.

The session focused on developing the skills necessary for effective IT project management, including the implementation of Agile methodologies. During the joint class, Alona Postina shared insights on:

Key aspects of applying Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean in real-world settings

Features of communication and process organization within IT teams
Students had the opportunity to ask questions, analyze real-life cases from the speaker’s experience, and receive valuable advice for their professional development.
Such joint classes contribute to the development of practical thinking, soft skills, and preparation for students’ future professional careers. Collaboration between the university and the professional community provides students with access to the most up-to-date knowledge and best practices in project management.
The program from the NGO “Project Management Institute Ukraine” is practice-oriented: it enables students not only to acquire theoretical knowledge but also to work with real-life cases provided by leading industry experts.
