On September 18, 2025, Dmytro Shyyan, a student of group KN-1224a, participated in the DevFest Alicante 2025 technology conference organized by the Google Developer Group Alicante.
The event took place at the Parque Científico de Alicante, University of Alicante (Alicante Province, Spain), and gathered over 200 participants — including developers, engineers, educators, and students from various countries.
At the conference, Marcos Remón delivered a presentation titled “Construye tu Agente IA desde 0 con ADK” (“Build Your AI Agent from Scratch with ADK”). He explained how to create a custom AI agent — from concept to cloud deployment — and demonstrated tools for integration with Google Search and databases.
Kiarash Ahmadi presented a talk titled “Desmitificando Spanner: Grafos, Agentes, Analítica y mucho más” (“Demystifying Spanner: Graphs, Agents, Analytics, and More”), in which he explained that Google Spanner can be used not only as a traditional relational database but also as a powerful tool for working with graph structures, analytics, and agent-based systems.
Following a networking session and informal conversations, attendees listened to Nadia Ujovich‘s talk “Astro en Acción: Creando Experiencias Web Rápidas y Flexibles” (“Astro in Action: Creating Fast and Flexible Web Experiences”). Her presentation focused on using the Astro framework to build high-performance and adaptive web applications.
The final talk was delivered by Isaac Julián Pavón Ruiz and Carolina Ruzafa Peña under the title “Accesibilidad en Dos Tiempos: UX y Front” (“Accessibility in Two Stages: UX and Front-End”). The speakers explained how accessibility principles should be embedded in interface design at the UX stage and implemented in front-end development.

DevFest Alicante 2025 combined inspiring presentations, practical knowledge, and a friendly atmosphere.
The organizers aimed to create not just an educational platform but also a space for communication, knowledge exchange, and networking.
Dmytro shared his impressions of participating in DevFest Alicante 2025:
“For me personally, the most valuable aspect was the balance between deep technical topics and practical case studies. It not only broadened my perspective but also made me think about integrating new ideas into academic and research projects at NTU KhPI. I believe this kind of experience will be useful for the development of our university’s student community and will foster further immersion into the world of modern technologies.”
We wish Dmytro Shyyan continued success and great achievements ahead.
