Visit of NTU “KhPI” Representatives to Lviv Polytechnic National University

In early October 2025, Marina Hrynchenko, Head of the Department of Project Management in Information Technologies, and Tetiana Aleksandrova, Head of the Department of Systems Analysis and Information-Analytical Technologies, paid a working visit to Lviv Polytechnic National University.

The visit took place within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement in education, research, and innovation activities between the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” (NTU “KhPI”) and Lviv Polytechnic National University.

During their stay in Lviv, the NTU “KhPI” representatives met with Rector of Lviv Polytechnic, Nataliia Shakhovska, Vice-Rector for Institutional Development, Professor Roman Korzh, Director of the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies, Oleh Matviikiv, as well as with heads of departments within the Institute.

A series of working meetings were held with the heads and academic staff of the departments of the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies.

As a result of the negotiations, a Cooperation Agreement was drafted between the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies of NTU “KhPI” and the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies of Lviv Polytechnic National University.

The parties agreed on the following areas of collaboration:

  • conducting joint scientific research in the fields of digital technologies, project management, and data analytics;

  • organizing international and national scientific conferences, seminars, and training programs;

  • facilitating national academic mobility for higher education students;

  • providing professional development for faculty and developing joint educational courses;

  • participating in national and international competitions, programs, and grants;

  • developing joint startups and supporting student innovation initiatives.

Special attention during the visit was given to veteran development and the social adaptation of military personnel.

Lviv Polytechnic is already home to an active Veteran Development Center, which offers support in education and employment, assistance in implementing entrepreneurial projects, and consultations with lawyers, psychologists, and career development specialists.

A meeting was held with Tetiana Shapovalova, Head of the Veteran Development Center at Lviv Polytechnic, who shared the history of the center’s creation and its key objectives, including psychological and social support for veterans, assistance in acquiring new knowledge, and applying it in civilian life.

In addition, a meeting was held with Nazar Podolchak, Head of the Tech StartUp School at Lviv Polytechnic, who presented the school’s activities and its international projects. The NTU “KhPI” representatives shared their experience in implementing startups and scientific-innovation initiatives conducted at the SPARK Startup Center of NTU “KhPI”.

Throughout the meetings, the two leading technical universities of Ukraine exchanged experiences in education and research, discussed the development of veteran support programs, innovation-driven entrepreneurship, and startup ecosystems, as well as ways to strengthen cooperation between departments involved in training specialists in information technologies and project management.

The NTU “KhPI” representatives highly appreciated the experience of their colleagues and agreed on the creation of joint educational and social initiatives aimed at integrating veterans into the academic environment and the field of innovative entrepreneurship.

The cooperation between these two leading Ukrainian technical universities will contribute to the development of modern education, science, and innovation, and the creation of a shared space of opportunities for students, educators, and alumni.
