The 1st International Scientific and Practical Conference “Actual Problems of Social Development in a Changing Society” was held on April 27-29, 2023 at the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”.
The conference was held online.
The Department of Law was responsible for Section 4. “Law and Public Management of Social Development.”

The sectional meeting was held on April 27 at 3:00 p.m.
During the academic year, with the aim of improving the legal culture and legal awareness of student youth, meetings and discussions were held at the university, in which employees of the justice and internal affairs bodies, employees of the State Department of Intellectual Property of Ukraine, and lawyers were involved.
For university students, teachers of the department held round tables and discussions devoted to the protection of human and citizen rights and freedoms, the development of Ukrainian and European local democracy.
The teachers of the department conducted educational work in student dormitories. This year, round tables were held on the problems of the electoral legislation of Ukraine, the “Constitution of Ukraine and its role in the development of Ukrainian society”, prevention and fight against offenses among student youth. While on duty in the dormitory, the teachers of the department conducted conversations, consultations on legal issues, special attention was paid to the peculiarities of criminal and administrative responsibility.
The department runs the column “Legal Library” in the newspaper of NTU “KhPI” “Polytechnic”, where it gives advice to students and employees on legal issues (corresponding associate professor GM Garyaeva).
All teachers of the department carried out career orientation work in schools of the city and region.
Students of NTU “KhPI” under the guidance of teachers of the department take an active part in All-Ukrainian Olympiads and tournaments in jurisprudence and take prize places there.
