An open lecture “The Character of a Champion: Is It Possible to Develop It?”

On October 25, 2025, an open lecture was held for applicants and students on the topic “The Character of a Champion: Is It Possible to Develop It?” The event was moderated by Oksana Polіakova, Associate professor of the Department of Physical Education.

The lecture gathered 18 participants, who had the opportunity not only to learn about the psychological and personal aspects of developing a champion’s character, but also to be inspired by real success stories.

The purpose of the event was to motivate young people to make positive changes in life and sports, and to show that the path to victory begins with self-work. In her presentation, the speaker outlined the main qualities inherent in a true champion — determination, endurance, self-discipline, responsibility, and belief in one’s own strengths.

Special attention in the lecture was paid to the stages of forming a champion’s path. It was clearly demonstrated how important each step is — from setting goals to overcoming difficulties — influencing the personal growth of an athlete. All stages were illustrated with success stories of students from the Department of Physical Education, who already have high achievements in sports and life.

The meeting took place in a warm, inspiring atmosphere. Participants noted that the lecture was so fascinating that everyone listened with bated breath.
