Department of heat engineering and energy efficiency technologies

7 and 8 September 2017 the head of the department prof. A.N. Ganzha took part in the III International Specialized Exhibition “Modernity. Energy conservation. Technologies (SET-2017) »(Rivne).
More than 40 manufacturers from Ukraine, representatives of foreign manufacturers from Denmark, Poland and Lithuania were exhibited at the exhibition.
“SET-2017” was held within the Interregional Forum on Energy Efficiency and Energy Conservation, during which trainings, presentations and master classes on energy efficiency were held with the participation of scientists from different regions of Ukraine. At the suggestion of the Rivne Regional State Administration prof. A.N.Ganza was elected as a moderator of the forum. He also made presentations, presenting the achievement of our university in the field of energy efficiency.
Exhibition program

Prof. A.N.Ganzha took part in the seminar “Implementation of the course on resource-efficient and clean production in the educational process of higher education”. The event was held at the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kiev Polytechnic Institute” named after Igor Sikorsky. The seminar was organized by the Center for Resource Efficient and Clean Production (working in Ukraine under the UNIDO program).

The novelty of our university: the website has an online schedule of classes. There is a choice of faculties / groups, search, printing and bookmarking. From now on, the timetable is always at hand!

At the department there were defenses of diploma works and projects in the specialties “Heat power engineering” and “Energy management” for masters and bachelors of full-time and part-time forms of education, as well as part-time specialists.
We wholeheartedly congratulate our graduates with the graduation from the university and wish them success and achievements in the profession and in life.

Game design as one of the tools of training has become firmly established in the life of the department. The ground for this tool was developed back in the late 19th century by the American philosopher and scholar-educator J.Dewey. “Learning by doing” – this is the short nature of game design.
In the last weeks of the semester, two games took place at the department: the fifth-year students (EM-42, EM-72 groups) substantiated their projects for selecting boiler equipment and, to some extent, passed on the experience to second-year students (EM-45 groups) who for the first time tried their forces, mastering the tasks of fuel choosing and combustion processes calculating. The curators of the projects were associate professors S.Ugolnikov, T. Pugacheva, senior teacher S.Ena.
The results of the games fully correspond to the main thesis of the modern view of the theory of projects: “All that I know, I know why I need it and where and how I can apply this knowledge.”

As a part of Careers Day, a meeting of students with representatives of the “Cement Roadstone Holding” took place at the department. CRH is one of the three largest producers of building materials in the world and is the leader of the cement market in Ukraine. The future graduates were provided with information on vacancies and requirements for applicants, as well as on the possibility of obtaining a paid internship at one of the company’s enterprises.

Delegation of heat engineering department of Poznan University of Technology (Poland) has paid a visit to National Technical University “Kharkov Polytechnic Institute” and especially to the department of heat engineering and effective energy technologies and the department of turbo machinery on March, 27-29, 2017. We had the pleasure to meet prof. dr hab. inż. Michał Ciałkowski, prof. PP dr hab. inż. Andrzej Frąckowiak, dr inż. Rafał Urbaniak.
The meeting was held with the prospectives on the cooperation.
The visit was conducted in a cordial atmosphere.
