About department

The department was founded at 1934 and is a part of «machine engineering» faculty of National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute».

Teaching staff of the department consists of 18 people, including 10 professors, 6 associate professors, 2 senior lecturers. The department has modern material base and provided with modern metalworking equipment and devices that meet the requirements of the training of junior specialists.

— Technological bases of the design and layout of the modular machine tools (Head doctor of engineering sciences А.А. Permyakov);

— Technological support, modeling and optimization of machining of polymeric composite materials (Head doctor of engineering sciences G.L. Havin);

— Improving effectiveness of finishing processes (Head doctor of engineering sciences U.A. Siziy);

-Optimization of organizational, technical and technological systems, mechanical assembly production arrangements based on simulation (Head doctor of engineering sciences A.N. Shelkovoy);

— Mathematical modeling of fast physical processes in shock, laser and pulsed aerodynamic effects (Head doctor of engineering sciences S.S. Dobrotvorskiy);

— Design, optimization and simulation of heating units of district heating and cooling systems, the assessment of energy efficiency of industrial plants, validate and implement energy saving measures in industry and utilitiesном хозяйстве (Head doctor of engineering sciences G.L. Havin);

— Technological support productivity, accuracy and quality parameters of the surface layer of coarse-grained hardened gears (Head doctor of engineering sciences A.A. Klochcko);

— Toothed cylindrical transmissions and gears effected with non-Newtonian state of the working fluid. Not multiple toothed transmissions and gears. Hardened spraying teeth instead of high frequency currents, working oil with the effect of selective transfer (Head doctor of engineering sciences A.A. Klochcko).
