STUDENT RESEARCH WORK
The organization of students’ research work is an important factor in increasing the effective professional training of a future specialist in a higher educational institution, primarily because it involves individualization of training, allows for the implementation of personally oriented training, expands the scope of knowledge, skills and abilities of students, contributes to the formation of activity, initiative, curiosity, develops creative thinking, and encourages independent searches. The Department of Tourism and Hospitality Business of NTU “KhPI” actively supports and encourages students’ research work.
Students of the department, researching various aspects of the development of the hotel and restaurant business and the tourism industry, form professional competencies, and actively participate in the following scientific events:
- annual conferences at NTU “KhPI” and conferences at higher education institutions of Ukraine;
- student olympiads and competitions;
- scientific topics of the department;
- publication of articles in professional publications.
Scientific Circle
At the Department of Tourism and Hotel and Restaurant Business, student research work has its own specifics, is built on the principles of multidisciplinary, democratic, active, creative, interconnected and collaborative science, educational practices and travel. The main goal of the student research circle is to promote the implementation and representation of the scientific, creative, spiritual and other interests of students.
Currently, the student research circle is a powerful student organization that unites students who carry out scientific research work in accordance with the department’s topics, act as initiators and co-organizers of educational and extracurricular events and activities at the university; work in scientific interests.
