  • In 2001, she graduated from secondary school. That same year, she was admitted to the Faculty of Organic Substances at the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” (NTU “KhPI”), from which she graduated with honors in 2008, obtaining the qualification of Research Engineer.
    Degree: Master of Biotechnology and Bioengineering.
  • From 2008 to 2011, she pursued postgraduate studies at NTU “KhPI”.
  • From 2011 to 2014, she worked as an Assistant at the Department of Biotechnology and Analytical Chemistry of NTU “KhPI”.
  • In 2014, N.Yu. Masalitina completed a professional development course at the Institute of Animal Science of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine.
  • From 2014 to 2018, she held the position of Senior Lecturer at the Department of Biotechnology and Analytical Chemistry at NTU “KhPI”.
  • From January 1, 2016, to October 19, 2018, she provided scientific consulting services to PJSC “Severodonetsk ORGHIM” on the development and implementation of new oxide catalysts.
  • In 2017, she successfully defended her dissertation and was awarded the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences (equivalent to Ph.D.).
  • Since 2018, she has been working as an Associate Professor at the Department of Biotechnology, Biophysics, and Analytical Chemistry at NTU “KhPI”.
  • In 2018, she won First Prize in the First Regional Competition “Best Young Scientist of Kharkiv Region”.
  • Since 2018, she has been a member of the Academic Council of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Chemical Technologies and Engineering at NTU “KhPI”.
  • She is also a member of the Methodological Commission of the same institute since 2018.
  • In 2019, she obtained a certificate confirming her proficiency in English at the B2 level.
  • In 2023, N.Yu. Masalitina completed a professional development course at the State Institution “Mechnikov Institute of Microbiology and Immunology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine” on the topic:
    “Study of the molecular-genetic and biochemical properties of microbiota in biotechnological production and improvement of biochemical and bacterioscopic methods for analyzing nutrient media.”.
  • She has been providing scientific consulting to the Ukrainian Research Institute of Oils and Fats of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine from May 8, 2016, to the present. ДA cooperation agreement between the Ukrainian Research Institute of Oils and Fats and NTU “KhPI” was signed on December 26, 2016 (reference № 1/131 dated October 7, 2024).
Deputy Head of the Department for Academic and Methodological Affairs

She is actively involved in the development of academic and methodological literature. She has published ten study guides and three textbooks for students in the “G21 Biotechnology and Bioengineering” field of study. She is one of the initiators of integrating up-to-date online information, as well as electronic textbooks, manuals, and monographs, into the educational process in the field of biotechnology training. She is responsible for uploading electronic files of bachelor’s and master’s theses to the Digital Repository of the Scientific and Technical Library of NTU “KhPI.” She currently serves as Deputy Head of the Department for Distance Learning, and also engages in career guidance activities. She conducts active educational and mentoring work with students, fulfilling the duties of a group advisor (curator).

A member of the project team of the Department of Biotechnology, Biophysics and Analytical Chemistry responsible for developing educational programs for the specialty 162 “Biotechnology and Bioengineering” at the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) levels of higher education.

A member of the educational program support group for the specialty G21 “Biotechnology and Bioengineering”.

Head of the permanent student scientific group “Current Issues in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, and Molecular Biotechnology”.
As a result of research activities, co-authored publications with students have been produced.

Supervisor of students who won prize places in the first stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad, and member of the organizing committee of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad.

Under the supervision of Masalitina N.Yu., students have won prize places in the first round of the All-Ukrainian Student Research Paper Competition in the specialty “Biotechnology and Bioengineering”: Yuliia Huhnina – 1st place (2021), Vlada Havryutina and Kateryna Kovalnytska – 1st place (2022), Daria Shvetsova – 2nd place (2022)

  • Participated as a researcher in specific stages of state-funded research projects of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, including:

    • “Investigation of radiation-induced modification of biological polymers and materials by electronic excitations” (State Registration No. 0111U002274);

    • “Physicochemical fundamentals and methods for developing high-efficiency technologies for ammonia, nitric acid, and phosphorus-containing mineral fertilizers” (State Registration No. 0115U000517);

    • “Comprehensive research and optimization of industrial and pharmaceutical biotechnologies” (conducted without state funding).

    In 2017–2018, received three Ukrainian patents for inventions.

  • Successfully combines teaching, research, and methodological work.
    During her tenure as Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor, prepared 10 teaching manuals and authored 156 publications, including 36 scientific works (3 monographs, over 50 articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals, including 15 indexed in Scopus) and 3 patents for inventions. Presented research findings at various national and international scientific and technical conferences.
