On March 27, 2026, a STEAM event for students of Boyko School (Kharkiv) was held at Shelter U2 of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”, with the active participation of the Department of Biotechnology, Biophysics and Analytical Chemistry. The event was aimed at career guidance for prospective applicants and at promoting modern fields of biotechnology, biophysics, and analytical chemistry.

During the event, participants visited interactive STEM stations prepared by the department’s academic staff and students, where they had the opportunity to explore practical aspects of biotechnological processes, elements of biophysical research, and modern analytical methods. The format of the event involved engaging school students in simple experimental tasks, demonstrations, and science-based interactive activities, fostering their interest in natural sciences and understanding of their practical applications.

Special attention was given to communication with school students regarding study opportunities in the specialty G21 “Biotechnologies and Bioengineering” at NTU “KhPI”, career prospects, and the role of interdisciplinary approaches in modern science and the pharmaceutical industry.

The organization of this event demonstrates the consistent efforts of the Department of Biotechnology, Biophysics and Analytical Chemistry of NTU “KhPI” in developing STEAM education, increasing students’ interest in scientific and technical fields, and forming a high-quality cohort of future applicants.
