On April 5, the department held an online career guidance event.
It was an incredibly interesting event🔥 based at the Department of Business Foreign Languages and Translation of the National Technical University “KhPI” – a meeting between first-year students majoring in ‘Translation’ and prospective applicants as part of a class on the subject “Country Studies”

From this event, applicants were able to gain:
– a priceless opportunity to communicate directly with first-year students and ask questions about studying our specialty that interest you;
– a unique opportunity to ask questions to the founder of our department and a translator with many years of experience, Prof. Badan A.A., and the departmental curator of the Kharkiv-Oxford project, Prof. Akopyan N.M.;
– see with their own eyes how classes are held in our specialty and become part of this process;
– learn a lot of fascinating local history information about Great Britain in an interesting way with elements of gamification and visualization;
– have a great time in the friendly atmosphere of a community of like-minded people who are passionate about English-speaking culture;
– play Kahoot “How much do you know about Great Britain?”, win and receive a prize.
The event lasted approximately 60 minutes and took place on the Microsoft Teams platform.
After the event, the department received several positive reviews:
