On November 9, 2025, students of the 11th grade at Kharkiv Lyceum No. 119 took part in an engaging meeting with Iryna Nedainova, Candidate of Philological Sciences and Professor at the Department of Business Foreign Language and Translation of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute.”
During the meeting, Professor Nedainova delivered an insightful presentation titled “The Expression of Humor in English,” which explored the peculiarities of British humor and its national and cultural distinctions. The material was illustrated with vivid and entertaining examples from English language and modern culture.
At the end of the event, the students participated in a lively quiz based on the lecture content to test their attention and reinforce their knowledge. The meeting took place in a friendly and inspiring atmosphere, encouraging students to deepen their interest in learning English and discovering the culture of English-speaking countries.
