The Students’ and Young Scholars’ All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Problems of the Development of the Humanities in the Context of Global Transformations of the Modern Communication Space,” initiated by the Department of Business Foreign Language and Translation, was held at the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” on October 31, 2025.
Besides the lecturers and students of the department, the event brought together researchers and students from V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, the Municipal Establishment “Kharkiv Humanitarian-Pedagogical Academy,” and Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University.
Thirty-eight participants took part in four thematic sections, and their reports were followed by discussions covering a wide range of issues — from linguistic features of modern speech to translation of technical and literary texts, foreign language teaching methodology, and trends in the humanities in the digital age.
Such academic events provide a valuable platform for sharing ideas and research findings. For students, participation offers both an opportunity to present their studies and practical experience in academic communication, public speaking, critical thinking, and argumentation. It also enables them to connect with peers from other universities and engage with the broader scientific community.
In her closing remarks, Associate Professor O. M. Holikova, Head of the Department of Business Foreign Language and Translation, summarized the conference, noted the most original presentations, expressed gratitude to the participants, and invited them to join next year’s event.
