On March 24, 2026, an outdoor STEM festival was held in the village of Malynivka, Chuguyiv district, Kharkiv region, organized by the head of the Department of Electrical Insulation and Cable Engineering of NTU “KhPI” Oleksandr Kesseyev. The event became a bright event for schoolchildren and an important step in popularizing engineering education among young people.
Teachers and scientists of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Power Engineering, Electronics and Electromechanics of NTU “KhPI” introduced schoolchildren to the modern world of power engineering and electrical engineering through interactive STEM locations. Participants could see and test equipment from various areas:
• electrical machines and devices
• cable technology
• relay protection
• power plants
• electric transport
• modern automation systems and other engineering solutions
Students and teachers had the opportunity not only to see the equipment, but also to work with it themselves, learn about the principles of its operation and ask questions to university teachers. This format of live communication allows young people to better understand modern engineering professions and the prospects for studying at a technical university.
The event was held in a warm, friendly and extremely interested atmosphere, proving once again that engineering science can be exciting and accessible to young people.
We are waiting for future engineers at NTU “KhPI”!
Together we are forming a generation that will create energy and technologies of the future.
