On April 18, 2025, as part of the Research Webinars initiative by the EU GREEN alliance, and supported by Otto von Guericke University (Germany) and the University of Angers (France), an international webinar on research collaboration was held.
Vladyslav Hrytsenko, teaching assistant of the department, delivered a presentation titled:
“Decentralized Solar Power Plant and Microgrid to Improve Sustainability of Local Community Energy Supply System”.
His presentation focused on the potential for decentralized energy generation and renewable energy sources to improve the resilience and reliability of local energy systems, particularly in the face of prolonged disruptions or crises.
Key topics included:
- The impact of military aggression on the educational and research process in a city near the frontline;
- The department’s experience in organizing the youth scientific community Energy Hub;
- The development of portable photovoltaic lab stands for use in teaching and research.
About EU GREEN
EU GREEN is an alliance of nine European universities based on the principle of distributed excellence. It aims to foster sustainable development in research and education, with strong regional engagement. The WP3 component, led by the University of Angers (France) and the University of Parma (Italy), focuses on structuring research collaboration across member institutions.
Outcomes of Participation
The department’s involvement in the event provided opportunities to:
- Expand international research contacts;
- Initiate joint projects focused on energy resilience;
- Showcase departmental expertise at the European level.
