On May 22, 2026, the Department of Hydraulic Machines named after G. F. Proskury NTU “KhPI” held a career orientation meeting with students of the Sofiivsko-Borschagov Lyceum (Kyiv region) as part of the expansion of the network of sponsored educational institutions.
The event was focused on students aged 16–17 who are approaching the choice of their future profession and further educational path. During the meeting, future applicants were introduced to the features of studying at NTU “KhPI”, the advantages of the educational programs of the Department of Hydraulic Machines, as well as current areas of training in the field of modern mechanical engineering and hydraulics.
The participants received detailed information about the educational process, opportunities for participation in scientific research and project activities, international cooperation, as well as employment prospects after graduation. Particular attention was paid to the role of engineering specialties in the restoration and development of the industrial potential of Ukraine.
Holding such meetings is an important component of the department’s work to expand the geography of career guidance activities, establish partnerships with educational institutions in different regions, and attract talented youth to technical specialties.
The initiative contributes to the formation of a sustainable network of sponsored schools, raising students’ awareness of the possibilities of higher education, and supporting them in making a conscious professional choice.
