On May 19, 2026, the Department of Hydraulic Machines named after G. F. Proskura of NTU “KhPI” held a career orientation meeting with students of Kharkiv Lyceum No. 13 within the framework of the development of a network of sponsored educational institutions.
The event was aimed at students aged 16–17 who are faced with choosing a future profession and educational trajectory. During the meeting, high school students received up-to-date information about the department’s educational programs, the features of studying at NTU “KhPI”, as well as job prospects in the field of hydraulic engineering.
Future applicants were introduced to the areas of training, the modern material and technical base of the department, opportunities for participation in scientific and project activities, as well as employment prospects after graduation.
Particular attention was paid to the importance of technical education in modern conditions and the role of engineering specialties in the development of industry. Holding such meetings is an important element of the department’s systematic work on forming sustainable ties with schools, raising students’ awareness of technical specialties, and attracting motivated youth to study at NTU “KhPI”.
The implementation of career guidance activities contributes to a conscious choice of a future profession and strengthens cooperation between secondary and higher education institutions.
