English Language and Foreign Literature

The Department of Intelligent Computer Systems trains specialists in the speciality “Philology” (educational programme “English Language and Foreign Literature”), relying on a unique Ukraine conceptual model for training teacher-leaders, developed at the department.

The uniqueness of this model lies in the shift from training ‘teachers-as-deliverers’ to developing ‘teachers-as-leaders’. The programme brings together three key components:

  • A strong foundation in the humanities: fluency in English and knowledge of global literary trends.

  • Psychological and pedagogical component: mastery of innovative teaching methods and the psychology of interaction in the 21st century.

  • Digital transformation: integration of EdTech tools into the teaching process, enabling graduates to work confidently in a digitalised educational environment.

To realise the developed model of training specialists in “English Language and Foreign Literature”a unique curriculum was developed, combining theoretical studies with the practical development of leadership skills. The aim of the programme and the curriculum is to train ‘agents of educational change’ capable of working in the context of globalisation, international cooperation and the constant challenges of modern education. Studying the subjects as a whole enables students to:

    • Develop their own professional teaching style.

    • Implement innovative educational solutions and make effective pedagogical decisions.

    • Adhere to standards of academic integrity and pedagogical ethics.

    • Conduct research in the fields of philology and pedagogy.

Graduates of the programme gain significantly broader career opportunities thanks to the combination of philological competence and skills in managing educational processes. They are prepared for roles as teachers, innovative methodologists and specialists capable of influencing the development of the modern educational environment both in Ukraine and abroad.
