On 25 May, the sports hall of the Pokotylivka Lyceum ‘Promin’ turned into a real hub of science, technology and creativity! The team from the Institute of Social and Humanitarian Sciences, particularly the Department of Information and Communication Technologies, visited the Pokotylivka community to host a mega-cool and energetic STEAM event.
High school students from three of the community’s lyceums gathered at this exciting venue! The sports hall buzzed with excitement, as instead of boring lectures, the future university applicants were treated to a full immersion in the world of modern professions.
The Department of Information and Communication Technologies presented its two powerful educational pathways in a vivid and interactive way:
🧠 Applied and Computational Linguistics — for those who dream of creating smart chatbots, hacking language models and managing artificial intelligence.
🥇English Language and Literature — our cool new specialism for a new generation of teachers and EdTech experts!
The high school students asked questions about IT technologies in linguistics, took part in interactive activities, learnt about the highlights of the 2026 admissions process, and soaked up the atmosphere of Kharkiv Polytechnic. 🦾📊
