🏦 Communications in the world of finance: success of ICS students at the Regional PR Project Competition
April 2009 was a landmark month for the student community of the Department of Intelligent Computer Systems. Our students demonstrated their ability to skilfully work with analytical information and complex markets by participating in the 2nd Regional Student PR Project Competition. ✨
A special feature of this year’s competition was the choice of segment: participants developed strategies for the financial services market — one of the most demanding areas in terms of precision of wording and strategic planning.
The results of our team’s performance: 🏆 Third place in the overall standings.
In addition to the high overall result, the ICS department team became the undisputed leader in working with text content, winning in key professional nominations:
✅ ‘Best Press Release’ — for professionalism, conciseness and informativeness.
✅ ‘Best Article’ — for depth of analysis and skill in presenting complex financial material.
These victories underscore the high quality of training of applied linguists at our department. The ability to create high-quality professional texts for the financial sector is an extremely valuable skill that combines the logic of an IT specialist and the talent of a copywriter. ✍️📊
We are proud that ICS students become recognised masters of business communication and analytics while still in school!
