The MicroCAD International Scientific and Practical Conference has been held every year since 1992 and gathers more than 1,000 speakers from around the world.

The organizers of the conference are the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” and the University of Miskolc (Hungary), which hosted the first conference. Co-founders of the event are also higher educational institutions of Germany, Romania, Poland, and Bulgaria, namely Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, University of Petrosani, Poznan University of Technology, Warsaw University of Technology, Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.

During the 30-year history of the conference, more than fifty thousand reports were made, more than 350 future doctors of science and more than 3,000 candidates of sciences and PhDs passed the approval of their scientific works. During this time, more than 150 eminent foreign guests — rectors, vice-rectors, deans of faculties, professors, ministers, ambassadors, directors of organizations and industrial enterprises and others — were participants of MicroCAD.
