NTU “KhPI” has expanded the number of countries its foreign students come from to 24 worldwide. Recently, a French citizen, Hedon Vaimiti-Emmanuel-Jeanne, visited Kharkiv Polytechnic to take the entrance exams for a specialty in demand in Europe – computer engineering (taught in English). Vaimiti already has a bachelor’s degree in cinematography in France, and this is her second education. The French student told representatives of KhPI’s international relations that she is interested in Ukrainian culture and, in addition to computer science, wants to master the Ukrainian language. Today, 1,106 foreign students study at Kharkiv Polytechnic, and by these indicators, it is among the university leaders in Ukraine.
