National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” (NTU “KhPI”) is a brand of high-quality chemical and technological education that is included in the two most important world rankings : QS and THE World University Rankings.
The department has a scientific and practical school of paint and varnish workers (founded in 1944), which is currently headed by Doctor of Chemical Sciences Viktor Kramarenko.
The teaching staff has many years of experience in training specialists in the professionally profiled direction “Technology of composite materials and polymer coatings for anti-corrosion protection, industrial and architectural design” . The professional knowledge provided by the department is a combination of classical and modern world trends in the development of chemical technologies, which provides a wide range of employment opportunities .
During the training, an individual and interactive approach to each student (taking into account their personal interests) is used to develop the ability to predict the properties of polymer materials and coatings and to apply the latest technologies in production.
NTU “KhPI” (department) is an associated member of the “Association of Ukrainian Paint and Coatings Industry Manufacturers”, thanks to which there is:

The department, represented by Dr. of Chemical Sciences Kramarenko V. Yu., is a member of the Technical Standardization Committee No. 168 “Varnishes and Paints”, whose activities are related to the development of state standards harmonized with international standards (ДСТУ ISO, ДСТУ EN), which are directly applied to the educational process.
