Do you speak English? If not, you can imagine how difficult it is to obtain a degree in a language that is not your mother tongue. Especially if you write in hieroglyphs rather than the Latin alphabet, as our Chinese students do.
On 18 December 2025, the Department of Electric Power Transmission held the defence of master’s theses by foreign students.
This is not the first time such an event has taken place. But preparing for it requires a lot of effort. The thesis supervisors and students worked hard.
The defence took place. All students received Master’s degrees in Energy.
Special mention should be made of our students from Azerbaijan.
Shamil Alakbarov speaks English and German fluently and is already working in the German energy sector.
Azər Mammadov gave his presentation in Ukrainian so well that it seemed as if he had lived his whole life in Ukraine.
