In early October 2025, Marina Hrynchenko, Head of the Department of Project Management in Information Technology, and Tetiana Aleksandrova, Head of the Department of Systems Analysis and Information and Analytical Technologies, paid a working visit to Lviv Polytechnic National University.
The visit took place within the framework of the Agreement on Cooperation in Educational, Scientific, and Innovative Activities between the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” and Lviv Polytechnic National University.
During their stay in Lviv, the representatives of NTU “KhPI” met with Natalia Shakhovska, Rector of Lviv Polytechnic National University; Roman Korzh, Vice-Rector for Institutional Development; Oleh Matviikiv, Director of the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies; as well as heads of departments of this institute.
A series of working meetings were also held with department heads and academic staff of the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies.

As a result of the negotiations, preparations were initiated for a Cooperation Agreement between the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies of NTU “KhPI” and the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies of Lviv Polytechnic National University.
The parties agreed on:
- organizing joint research projects in the fields of digital technologies, project management, and data analytics;
- holding international and national scientific conferences, seminars, and training sessions;
- organizing national academic mobility for higher education students;
- professional development of academic staff and development of joint educational courses;
- participation in national and international competitions, programs, and funding initiatives;
- development of joint startups and support for innovative student initiatives.

Special attention during the visit was given to issues of veteran development and social adaptation of military personnel.
Lviv Polytechnic National University already operates a Veteran Development Center, which provides support in education and employment, assistance in implementing entrepreneurial projects, as well as consultations with lawyers, psychologists, and career development specialists.
A meeting was held with Tetiana Shapovalova, Head of the Veteran Development Center at Lviv Polytechnic, who presented the history of the Center’s establishment and its main objectives related to psychological and social support for veterans, assistance in acquiring new knowledge, and its practical application in civilian life.
In addition, a meeting took place with Nazar Podolchuk, Head of the Tech StartUp School of Lviv Polytechnic National University, who presented the School’s activities and international projects. The representatives of NTU “KhPI” shared their experience in implementing startups and scientific and innovative initiatives carried out at the SPARK Startup Center of NTU “KhPI.”
During the meetings, the two leading technical universities of Ukraine exchanged experiences in educational and scientific activities, discussed directions for the development of the veteran movement, innovative entrepreneurship, and startup ecosystems, as well as ways to strengthen cooperation between departments that train specialists in information technologies and project management.
The representatives of NTU “KhPI” highly appreciated the experience of their colleagues and agreed to develop joint educational and social initiatives aimed at integrating veterans into the academic environment and the field of innovative entrepreneurship.
Cooperation between the two leading technical universities of Ukraine will contribute to the development of modern education, science, and innovation, as well as to the creation of a shared space of opportunities for students, faculty members, and graduates.
