During the academic years 2024–2025, Professor of the Department of Project Management in Information Technologies, Doctor of Technical Sciences Ihor Volodymyrovych Kononenko worked as a visiting professor at the Department of Project Management of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AUAC, Baku).
While working at AUAC, Prof. I. V. Kononenko delivered lecture courses for MBA students in the disciplines Project Management, Regional Development Projects and Their Management, Organizational Behavior, and Human Resource Management. Business games and practical sessions were conducted, with special attention paid to the preparation of business plans for regional development projects of Azerbaijan.
As part of international scientific cooperation, Prof. Kononenko, together with colleagues from Baku, published two research articles indexed in the Scopus database and presented his work at an International Scientific Conference. The Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction also became a co-organizer of the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Integrated Strategic Management, Portfolio, Program and Project Management” (“Integrated Management”), which has been traditionally organized by our department since 2010.
In addition, Prof. I. V. Kononenko conducted four scientific seminars for faculty members and students of AUAC.

In December 2025, the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction celebrated its 50th anniversary. To mark this occasion, a commemorative book highlighting the key achievements of the university was published. It is a pleasure to note that this edition includes photographs from the scientific seminars conducted by Prof. I. V. Kononenko at AUAC.
