Hanna Novakova (Bachelor’s Graduate, Class of 2026)

Among the key advantages of the Bachelor’s Degree Program in Specialty 122 “Computer Science”, I would highlight the large number of practical and laboratory assignments that help students develop and strengthen their professional skills. The educational process is also supported by high-quality teaching materials, and experienced IT professionals are actively involved in the learning process. I would especially like to thank the Head of the Department, Marina Hrynchenko, for her contribution to maintaining such a high standard of education.

At the same time, the program has potential for further improvement. Due to the significant workload associated with laboratory assignments, I occasionally felt that there was not enough time for a deeper study and thorough understanding of the theoretical material.

I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to my academic supervisor, Professor Ihor Kononenko. His guidance, support, and valuable methodological recommendations were key factors in the successful design and development of the software solution created as part of my Bachelor’s thesis.

Currently, I work at Werum Software & Systems AG, a company with many years of experience specializing in comprehensive data management and IT solutions. Our motto is “Engineering. Data. Solutions.” Werum develops intelligent software that helps enterprises and organizations manage mission-critical data and automate complex processes.

The company’s main areas of activity include delivering advanced IT solutions for:

• industrial testing, including the automation of testing processes for research laboratories and facilities such as wind tunnels;
• geodata management for the efficient processing and archiving of Earth observation and marine research data;
• aerospace programs requiring the analysis of mission-critical data essential for successful operations.

Since my third year at the university, I have been gaining valuable professional experience at Werum by participating in software development projects that incorporate artificial intelligence technologies.
