Student Participation in DevFest Alicante 2025

On September 18, 2025, Dmytro Shyian, a student of group KN-1224a, took part in the technology conference DevFest Alicante 2025, organized by the Google Developer Group Alicante. The event was held at the Parque Científico de Alicante, University of Alicante (Alicante Province, Spain) and brought together more than 200 participants, including developers, engineers, educators, and students from various countries.

One of the conference speakers, Marcos Remón, delivered a presentation titled “Construye tu Agente IA desde 0 con ADK.” He explained how to build a custom artificial intelligence agent—from the initial idea to cloud deployment—and demonstrated tools for integration with Google Search and databases.

Kiarash Ahmadi presented the talk “Desmitificando Spanner: Grafos, Agentes, Analítica y mucho más,” in which he demonstrated that Google Spanner can be used not only as a traditional relational database, but also as a powerful tool for working with graph structures, analytics, and agent-based systems.

After a networking session and informal communication, participants attended a presentation by Nadia Ujovich titled “Astro en Acción: Creando Experiencias Web Rápidas y Flexibles.” Her talk focused on the use of the Astro framework to create high-performance and flexible web applications.

The conference concluded with a presentation by Isaac Julián Pavón Ruiz and Carolina Ruzafa Peña, “Accesibilidad en Dos Tiempos: UX y Front.” The speakers explained how accessibility principles should be incorporated into interfaces at the UX design stage and then implemented in frontend development.

DevFest Alicante 2025 combined inspiring talks, practical knowledge, and a friendly atmosphere. The organizers aimed to create not only an educational event but also a communication platform for experience sharing and building new professional connections.

Dmytro Shyian shared his impressions of participating in DevFest Alicante 2025:

“For me personally, the most valuable aspect was the balance between deep technical topics and practical case studies. It allowed me not only to broaden my perspective but also to reflect on integrating new ideas into educational and research projects at KhPI. I believe this experience will be beneficial for the development of our university’s student community and will contribute to further immersion in the world of modern technologies.”

We wish Dmytro Shyian continued success and great achievements.
