October 8 is celebrated every year as Lawyer’s Day in Ukraine.
This is a professional holiday for specialists who monitor the observance of the rights of citizens of the country. It is believed that it was on October 8, 1016 that the Grand Duke of Kiev Yaroslav the Wise issued the first set of laws, “Russkaya Pravda”.
