Specialty 172 – “Electronic communications and radio engineering” (academic program – “Network Technologies and Telecommunications”, IKM, NTU “KhPI”) is aimed to training specialists based on knowledge of modern technologies of electronic communications, mathematical models and methods, information technologies and artificial intelligence methods for creating telecommunication systems and networks with the appropriate level of QoS (Quality of Service).
The goal of the academic program is to provide training of specialists in the field of electronic communications who are able to formulate, generalize and solve practical problems in their professional activities based on a high level of professional training and a scientific worldview using fundamental and special knowledge and system approach.
ACADEMIC PROGRAM CHARACTERISTICS
The main focus of the academic program. The program focuses on studying of modern information transmission technologies, the design of electronic communication systems with the provision of optimal management of networks and their elements based on information technologies and artificial intelligence methods.
Program features. The program ensures the formation and development of general and professional competences in the implementation and application of electronic communications technologies, which contribute to the social stability and mobility of graduates on the labor market, the ability to solve specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of electronic communications and radio engineering, which is characterized by complexity and uncertainty of conditions .
The accent of the educational program is on:
– programming in the field of ICT;
– using network technologies of the CISCO company;
– using the latest PaloAlto network protection technologies;
– modern Cisco software and hardware;
– the design of the program goals took place within the framework of the Implementation of international projects “dcomfra: digital Competence framework for Ukrainian teachers and other citizens Erasmus+ka2, 598236-EPP-1-2018-1-LT-EPPKA2-CBHE-SP”, Erasmus+ka2 digiuni: digital university – open Ukrainian Initiative (2023-2027), No. 101129236;
– application of data analysis technologies with the implementation of descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, prescriptive analytics to determine the quality and productivity indicators of telecommunication networks, anomalies in the operation of telecommunication systems, search for solutions to problems and corrective actions for optimal load management in information communication networks;
– application of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to optimize the management of information and communication networks.
Internships are held in companies and firms that provide telecommunication services.
