On 4–7 December, the European Kettlebell Lifting Championship was held in Chisinau (Moldova). About 300 participants from 16 countries took part in the competition.
The Ukrainian national team was represented by 28 athletes, including our colleague Yurii Vasyliev, senior lecturer at the Department of Physical Education.
Yurii once again became the European champion and set a new world record in the long cycle with two kettlebells. For his outstanding achievements in kettlebell lifting, Yurii was also awarded a medal and a commemorative prize by the president of the International Kettlebell Lifting Association.
The Ukrainian national team won gold in the overall team standings at these competitions. The Italian team won silver, and the Polish team won bronze.
Congratulations to our champion! Keep up the good work!
