From 11 to 15 December 2025, the Ukrainian Armwrestling Cup was held in Volovets (Zakarpattia region).
More than 500 athletes from 22 regions of Ukraine took part in the competition.
Representatives of NTU ‘KhPI’ took part in the competition as part of the Kharkiv region team: Yurii Bida, Master of the Department of Computer Modelling and Integrated Pressure Processing Technologies, Valeria Pilyuk, Master of the Department of Thermal Engineering and Energy Efficient Technologies, and Yulia Gadayeva, postgraduate student of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Industrial Ecology.
NTU ‘KhPI’ athletes won 6 medals (2 gold, 3 silver, 1 bronze) at these competitions.
In the competition among athletes under 23 years of age (U23), Yuriy Bida became the champion in the weight category over 90 kg with his left hand and won a silver medal with his right hand, while Valeriya Pilyuk won silver and bronze medals in the weight category up to 70 kg.
Yulia Gadayeva won gold and silver medals in the adult competition in the weight category up to 70 kg.
The coach of Yuriy Bida and Yulia Gadayeva is Vladimir Petrenko, associate professor of the Department of Physical Education and Honoured Coach of Ukraine.
The coach of Valeria Pilyuk is Alexander Petrenko, senior lecturer of the Department of Physical Education and Honoured Coach of Ukraine.
