The Department of Tourism and Hotel and Restaurant Business of NTU “KhPI” joins the preparation and implementation of the international project ReTour4Resilience: Regenerative Tourism for Community Resilience and Empowerment, which is submitted for funding under the Erasmus+ program (direction KA2 – Cooperation Partnerships). 🌍
As part of the preparation of the application, NTU “KhPI” has given consent to the Instituto Politécnico de Viseu (Portugal) to act as a coordinator and submit a project application on behalf of the partner consortium to the National Agency of Portugal for the Management of the Erasmus+ Program in the Field of Education and Training. In case of receiving a grant, NTU “KhPI” will join the implementation of the project as a co-beneficiary. 🤝
🌱 The ReTour4Resilience project is aimed at developing regenerative tourism, which is designed not only to minimize the negative impact of tourism activities, but also to promote the restoration of territories, support local communities, preserve cultural heritage and increase the economic sustainability of regions.
🤝 The partner consortium includes European and Ukrainian universities, as well as organizations working in the fields of education, tourism and regional development. The initiator of the project concept was the Italian organization i-strategies, which has significant experience in implementing educational and innovative international projects in the field of education and tourism.
✨ Participation in the project opens up new opportunities for the development of educational programs in tourism, international cooperation and training of specialists capable of implementing modern approaches to the sustainable development of tourist areas of Ukraine.
The project is expected to last three years, and its results will contribute to strengthening the role of tourism in the recovery and sustainable development of communities.
