On March 25, 2026, the teachers and students of the department joined the open lecture of the stakeholder, director of the OKZ “Kharkiv Organizational and Methodological Center of Tourism”, candidate of scientific and technical sciences, associate professor Valentyna KHOLODOK, which was organized on the basis of the NNI “Karazin Institute of International Relations and Tourism Business” of the V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
The topic of the speaker’s speech was called “The Role of the Tourism Industry in the Restoration of Ukraine and Career Opportunities for Young Specialists“.
During the meeting, the attendees learned about the importance of the tourism industry in the processes of restoration of Ukraine, as well as how this area can become one of the drivers of the country’s economic and image development in the post-war period.
Valentyna Dmytrivna raised the following issues in her lectures:
🔹 how the tourism sector is being transformed in the face of modern challenges;
🔹 the role of regional tourism in the restoration of communities and the development of territories;
🔹 how the tourist attractiveness of regions is formed;
🔹 what opportunities are open for young specialists in this field.
The speaker paid special attention to cases of tourism development at the local level, as well as ways of professional implementation for students in the field of tourism and hospitality.
