Department performs admission and training of graduate students on speciality 174 “Automation, Computer-Integrated Technologies and Robototechnics”

After successful training and graduation students obtain the degree of Master in automation, computer-integrated technologies and robototechnics.
The term of study is 1 year and 4 months (for masters of a professional direction). For foreign students training is provided on a contractual basis for full-time and part-time education (please, see the details on this page).

Studying automation and computer-integrated technologies specialty you will be trained in the field of computerized control systems, hardware and software for automatics and automation of technological processes at manufacturing enterprises, in transport and in everyday life. Computer-integrated technologies are used in the design, implementation and implementation of modern automation and automation.

Educational program for bachelor degree (undergraduate program) is designed for students who aspire to become specialists in the field of automation of technological and production processes using the most advanced computer technologies. The main advantage of the bachelor’s program is orientation towards formation of the widest scientific and technical outlook of future professional along with the acquisition of practical knowledge and skills in using modern computer equipment and electronic components, necessary programming languages and professional tools.
The program is balanced by the levels of socio-humanitarian and fundamental training and contains sufficient selective component in the specialty.

The main activities of the specialist:
– means of transmitting information via communication channels in distributed control and management systems
– remote data processing systems and cloud technologies
– development and operation of telecommunications equipment
– integral digital networks transmitting all types of information (speech, data, video)
– design, development, configuration of local and global computer networks
– Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Internet of Things (IoT) systems
– protection of information from interference and unauthorized access to telecommunication networks
The department has a large scientific and engineering potential, modern material base, conducts scientific research in several promising areas of the specialty profile, which allows to attract students to engineering and scientific activities already in the early stages of training. Throughout the course, students have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of academic mobility programs and receive a master’s degree from a selected university in an EU country. The best graduates of the master’s degree program are given the opportunity to start a career in science and continue their postgraduate studies.

Students who study in the educational program “Computerized control systems and automatics”, undergo practical training, carry out diploma projects and work after graduation at the leading enterprises of Kharkiv and Ukraine: Instrument-Building Plant named after T. T. Gubkin. Shevchenko, a group of companies LTD RPI “Hartron”, JSC Research Institute of Radio Engineering Measurements, KMDB named after A. A. Morozov, SE Kharkov Research Institute of Integrated Automation, Scientific and Technical Complex “Institute of Single Crystals”, NPP “Diagnostic Systems”, NGO automatic control systems, etc. Graduates of our department on specialization “Automation and the computer-integrated technologies” now work at such enterprises: LTD RPI “Hartron”, joint venture JV “EchoStar Ukraine”, NIX Solutions Ltd., Open Company LCC SPC “Vertical”, SSI “Institute of Single Crystals”, LLC “OWEN”, SPE “Stalenergo”, and another.
