Our Graduates Are Our Pride!
We are delighted to introduce our future graduate, currently a Master’s student of the Department of Electrical Apparatus (group E-N223b, class of 2025) – Heorhii Lamash.

My name is Heorhii Lamash, and I am originally from Mariupol. In 2019, I enrolled at the Department of Electrical Apparatus. From the very beginning, starting with my first year, I studied German at NTU “KhPI” in the Educational Center “German Technical Faculty”, and by my fourth year I had reached a good proficiency level.

The topic of my Bachelor’s thesis in 2023 was “Analysis of Functional Features of Electronic Protection Relays for Three-Phase Induction Motors.” The defense took place online, as at that time I had already spent a year in Germany within the Erasmus+ academic exchange program, namely in Bavaria at the Technische Hochschule Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS) – a University of Applied Sciences founded in 1807 and ranked among the best of its kind in Germany. Besides my studies there, I was also employed as a student assistant in a laboratory.

Currently, I am also pursuing a double-degree program DSG2 (Deutschsprachige Studiengänge 2) for Bachelor students from our Polytechnic, but this time at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. From the next semester, I will continue as a full-time student there. Since my studies are based at the Department of Electrical Drives and Power Electronics, I have had the opportunity to work on projects specifically in power electronics. I was assigned to one of the engineers and together we carried out projects, gaining valuable experience.

For instance, one of my projects involved developing a variable pulsed current source to simulate parasitic bearing currents in an electric vehicle. In practice, this required me to design and model various circuits, analyze currents, and select frequency values. I also conducted inductance coil testing using a Network Analyzer to determine impedance and mutual inductance at high frequencies, and later assembled and mounted these circuits myself.

The knowledge and experience I gained while studying at the Department of Electrical Apparatus laid the foundation for my further development and professional career“.

We warmly invite you to join the Department of Electrical Devises!
