Master’s Degree

Master (from Latin magister, “teacher”) – an academic degree awarded at the second level of higher education. It is conferred by a higher education institution upon successful completion of the relevant educational program by the student.

The master’s degree can be obtained through an educational-professional program (EPP “Electromechanics”) or an educational-research program (ERP “Electromechanics”) at the second (master’s) level of higher education. The workload of the educational-professional master’s program is 90 ECTS credits, while the educational-research program comprises 120 ECTS credits. The educational-research program must include a research (scientific) component of at least 30%.

A person is eligible to pursue a master’s degree provided they already hold a first-level higher education degree – Bachelor.

At the Department of Electrical Apparatus, master’s training is offered in the specialty G3 Electrical Engineering (formerly 141 Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electromechanics).

Graduates are awarded the qualification Master of Electromechanics.
