My name is Yevhenii Zorin. Studying at the department became a logical continuation of my education after technical school. I chose the field of “Electromechanics,” which corresponded to the specialty code 5.05050202. Later, this specialty was renamed 141 “Electrical Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electromechanics”. During my studies, I gained deep theoretical knowledge and practical skills, particularly in working with automated design systems and computer modeling tools. Courses that especially interested me included: This experience helped me identify the areas where I could realize my potential. Professional Path Alongside my studies, I worked at NPO “Vertical” (2017) and Instell Engineering (2018). From March 4 to May 31, 2018, I completed an internship at the ABB Corporate Research Center (ABB PLCRC) in Krakow. This motivated me to enter the postgraduate program at the Department of Electrical Apparatus, as I wanted to try myself as a researcher at ABB PLCRC. However, due to corporate reorganization and the sale of some Hitachi departments (including the ones where I interned), employment at ABB did not occur. During my postgraduate studies starting in 2020, I worked as a lecturer at the Kharkiv Computer-Technological College branch of NTU “KhPI” and as an assistant at the Department of Electrical Devises at the EEE Educational and Research Institute (2022–2024). In February 2024, I defended my dissertation and obtained the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in specialty 141 “Electrical Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electromechanics”. Since 2024, I have held the position of Head of the Cycle Commission of Applied Mechanics and Natural Science Disciplines at the Kharkiv Computer-Technological College, a separate structural unit of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute,” and continue to work as a lecturer of specialized courses for the following programs: 131 “Applied Mechanics,” OPP “Maintenance of CNC Machines and Robotic Complexes”; 141 “Electrical Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electromechanics,” OPP “Repair of Computer and Household Electrical Equipment”; 175 “Information-Measuring Technologies,” OPP “Metrology and Information-Measuring Equipment.”
We invite you to study at the Department of Electrical Devises!
