On March 26, 2025, the Department of Electric Transport and Locomotive Engineering at the National Technical University “KhPI” became a bridge between dreams and reality for the students of Pokotyliv Lyceum No. 2 and their parents. In a virtual setting, an engaging career orientation meeting took place, providing students with another step toward finding answers about their future.
The meeting served as a true guide for prospective students: faculty members of the department thoroughly explained the admission rules for Ukrainian universities, unveiled the secrets of effective preparation for the National Multidisciplinary Test (NMT), and broke down each stage of the admissions marathon – from application submission to ranking score calculation. Special attention was given to the department’s specializations, which prepare professionals for innovative industries, ranging from maglev trains to modern transport infrastructure.
The online format was not a barrier but rather emphasized the university’s modern approach. An interactive presentation, real-life examples, and visualized educational projects turned an ordinary meeting into a captivating dialogue. Students and teachers actively participated in discussions, asking questions about competitive offers, internship prospects, and career opportunities for graduates.
At the end of the meeting, a quiz on railway transport was held. The attendees enthusiastically took part in it, with even teachers joining in. It was a fun and exciting experience!
