Since 2016, the family of learner’s bilingual mathematical dictionaries has been published by the authors of the Faculty of International Education. This family of dictionaries includes Russian-English (2016), Russian-Turkmen (2016), Russian-Chinese (2017), Russian-Arabic (2017), and Russian-French (2019) mathematical dictionaries. In 2020, Russian-Turkish and English-Turkish dictionaries were published.
The goals and objectives of these dictionaries are to present the basic mathematical terminology in the language being studied, to consolidate existing knowledge, to form students’ skills of using the scientific style of speech.
Dictionaries include the basic lexical minimum necessary for understanding intermediate and higher level mathematics courses that foreign students study at the pre-university preparation stage for entering to higher educational institutions, as well as during the first and second years of study at the university.
