Choosing competitive offers

Що таке конкурсна пропозиція

What is a competitive offer?

A competitive offer is a set of conditions under which a higher education institution admits applicants to a specific educational program. A competitive offer contains information about:

  1. Name of the educational program – the specific degree program in which students are being enrolled.
  2. Degree – the level of education a student will receive upon completing the program (Bachelor’s, Master’s).
  3. Mode of study – full-time, part-time, or evening courses.
  4. Number of places – how many students can be admitted on a state-funded or contract basis.
  5. Admission requirements – the list of required certificates from the National Multi-subject Test (NMT) or External Independent Evaluation (EIE), minimum scores, and other criteria.
  6. Application deadlines – the period during which applicants can submit their applications for the competition.
  7. Additional conditions – special conditions for privileged categories, the possibility of taking entrance exams, and so on.

A competitive offer allows applicants to understand the requirements they need to meet for successful admission to their chosen major and which documents they must submit.

You should start by finding the competitive offer you need from the full list of available offers.

Step 1. Enter the following information into the corresponding search fields:

Region: Kharkiv Oblast.

Educational institution: National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute».

Degree: Bachelor’s.

Mode of Study: Full-time.

Major: Enter the code for Major: 113 (Applied Mathematics) or 122 (Computer Science).

Step 2. Choose the competitive offer by checking the box in the first column of the table next to the offer titled “Intelligent Data Analysis” for Major 113. Applied Mathematics, or “Artificial Intelligence” for Major 122. Computer Science.

To continue submitting your application, click the «+ SUBMIT APPLICATION» button.

State-funded or contract basis?

Once you have chosen the required competitive offer, proceed to choose the source of funding for your education.

Step 3. To apply to a state-funded place (i.e.budget), select the top option:

Step 4. When applying for a state-funded place, be sure to set your priority (1-5). Remember that №1 is the highest priority – your most preferred educational program and major.

You can submit up to 5 applications for state-funded places and up to 15 applications for all funding sources (contract).

Benefits and State-Funded Higher Education

If you have special admission conditions (benefits), it is recommended that you contact the educational institution before submitting your applications with supporting documents so that this information can be entered into the Unified State Electronic Database on Education.

Step 5. If your benefits information has been entered, you will be able to select the applicable benefit when creating your application:

Step 6. You also need to provide information on whether this is your first state-funded education or if you have already received higher education on a budget. Select the option that reflects your actual situation.

Choosing NMT Results and Motivation Letter

Step 7. It is time to choose the results of your entrance exams that have been entered into your account. If you have NMT results from multiple years, you need to decide which ones you will use for admission. If you plan to apply with your 2024 NMT results, check the box for «2024 National Multi-subject Test Results» and then click the “Choose” button:

Please note that you cannot combine subjects from different years!

Step 8. Enter the text of your motivation letter. Once finished, ensure you save the completed text.

After filling in all fields and required information, click the «Submit Application» button:

Step 9. Review the confirmation of your application submission and, if the information is correct, click the «Confirm» button. The screen will then display information about the successful registration of your application in EDEBO.

After submission, your application will be added to your list of applications.

After the educational institution processes your application, it will receive the status «Registered at the Educational Institution».

If the application was submitted by mistake, you can CANCEL it, provided it has not yet been reviewed by the institution.

To do this, select the application and click «Active Actions» – «Cancel».
