🎯7 STAGES THAT WILL DEFINE YOUR ADMISSION IN 2025

Admission is a marathon, not a sprint. Along this path, there are 7 key stages where your actions determine everything: whether you secure a state-funded place, sign a contract, or have to wait another year.

📍1. NMT – The Starting Point (May-June)

Some students have already taken the test, while others are still waiting for their date.

To be admitted to the temporary testing center, participants must have the following documents:

an identity document, the NMT certificate, the invitation, a pen (scratch paper will be provided at the TEC), drinking water and a snack (optional). For those testing in Ukraine, it is also advisable to bring warm clothing, which may be needed in case of a prolonged stay in a shelter.

💡Analyze your results if you have them. If not, finalize your documents and the self-check form.

📍 2. Start filling out your E-Account (From July 1)

This account is your admission control center. You will use it to submit your applications to universities and track the entire process – from initial application right through to final enrollment.

⏳The account will remain active until the end of the admission campaign.

✅You will need:

    • School certificate
    • Passport or ID
    • Email and password
    • Photo, benefit documents (if applicable)
  • Finalized list of universities, programs, and priorities

💡Check whether your desired programs require a creative competition or a motivation letter. Prepare everything in advance – no need for panic.

📍3. Key Application Submission Period (July 19-31)

This is the official period when you “present yourself” to universities. Everything you enter in your electronic account during these days will determine your admission outcome.

✅What you should have prepared:

    • chosen priorities (up to 5 for state-funded places, up to 10 for contract)
    • NMT certificate
    • School certificate
  • motivation letters (submitted electronically)
  • electronic copies of all documents to be uploaded to your personal account

📌 What does “submitting an application” mean?

It’s when, in your personal electronic account, you select the university, the major, the form of study, set your priority (if applying for a state-funded place), and click “Submit application”. Only then is your application registered in the EDEBO, and from that moment it can no longer be changed, nor can its priority be altered.

You can create your account, fill it out over several days, think things through, and adjust your priorities. But only until the moment you actually submit the applications. Once submitted, the priorities are fixed and cannot be changed.

You may withdraw a specific application, but you cannot add a new one in its place.

So, think carefully about:

  • what you’re genuinely interested in
  • where you have the best chance of getting in
  • which programs are truly valuable to you

💡Also, consider in advance:

  • Are you prepared to enroll on a contract basis (paying tuition) if you don’t secure a state-funded place?
  • Where might you have a chance to obtain a government grant to cover contract tuition (if you have high scores)?
  • Do you already have an electronic signature for remotely signing the contract?

📍4. Final Rankings and Budget Recommendations (August 6-8)

During these days, the lists of applicants recommended for state-funded places are published. This is practically the final stage of the budget competition: here, it is decided where you are actually admitted.

✅Be ready to:

  • Interpret the status changes in your electronic account.
  • Execute a Plan B for non-budget admission or for a lower priority program.
  • Act immediately – the timeline is extremely tight.

💡Important!

You can be recommended for a state-funded place only at one university and only in one program – the highest of your priorities, where your competitive score was sufficient.

❗For example: If you qualify for Priority №2, your lower-priority options (№3, №4, №5) are immediately removed from your consideration and assigned to others.

This means you cannot “refuse” the recommendation and wait for another option – the system does not work that way.

👉If you don’t submit your documents to the program where you were recommended, you lose your chance for a budget place in 2025.

💡If you were not recommended for a budget place, or you were recommended to a university you didn’t want, you can still apply for your desired program on a contract basis with a government grant (if you have high NMT scores). You can choose contract study in any program listed in your account (both budget and contract options).

📍5. Confirm your place and submit documents (By 6:00 PM, August 9)

✅You will need:

– originals of documents (passport, tax ID, school certificate with appendix)

– certificates confirming benefits (if applicable)

– draft registration/military ID (for male applicants)

– readiness to sign the contract

– electronic signature (if the contract is signed remotely)

🔁There are two ways to submit documents:

  1. 1. In person: you must have with you:
  • originals of documents
  • 2 copies each of passport, tax ID, and school certificate with appendix
  • military registration document (for male applicants)
  1. In electronic form: documents are submitted through communication with the admissions committee operator via the official university email.

❗️Note: The university does not keep your original documents. They are only presented or scanned/photographed.

💡After this step, the applicant can already be included in the official enrollment order.

📍 6. Official Enrollment (August 11-30)

✅ You must have:

  • fulfilled all requirements
  • paid tuition (if studying on a contract basis)
  • signed the contract
  • arranged accommodation details if needed (dormitory, adaptation)

📍7. Additional contract enrollment (September 1-October 20)

💡If you didn’t secure a state-funded place, the path to study is still open.

🎓 During this period, additional applications for contract study are accepted, and government grants for contract students are available – covering part or all of the tuition for those with high scores who pass the selection process.

👉 These 7 stages are not just dates – they are the key “yes” or “no” moments that define your admission.
