HOW TO GET A QES FOR ADMISSION: INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICANTS

A Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) is a digital signature that confirms your identity in the electronic environment. For applicants, having a QES is important because it is used to confirm the place of study and for other official actions.

You can obtain a QES in state and private institutions including banks. It is available for free at the Information and Reference Department of the State Tax Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and PrivatBank.

To get a QES you will need:

  • Passport
  • Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN)
  • Birth certificate (for minors)
  • A written consent from one of the parents (for minors)

How to get a QES via Diia.Signature

  2. Click Create.
  3. Verify your identity using a photo check.
  4. Set a 5-digit code for Diia.Signature.

Additional information:

  •       Key name and extension: Privat24 creates a file in the format pb_1234567890.jks; the Certification Authority of the State Tax Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine generate keys with the standard name Key-6.dat, while the Ministry of Justice uses the .p7s extension.
  •       Access password: Together with the personal key file, an individual access password is generated, which must be entered each time you sign a document. If you lose the password, it cannot be recovered – you will need to create a new digital signature.
  •     Confidentiality: It is prohibited to transfer your key to other people for signing documents on your behalf.
  •       Validity period: The validity period of any digital signature is 1 year, after which the key must be generated again.
  •       Number of QES: A user may have several QES for different purposes (as an individual, as a private entrepreneur or as a representative of a legal entity).
