Bureiko Kateryna, student BEM-524e (teacher – associate professor S.M. Cherniavska) took 3rd place in the II stage of the XV International Language and Literature Competition named after Taras Shevchenko in 2024 among students of higher educational institutions of III-IV levels of accreditation (students of non-humanities majors).

Among the tasks of the 1st stage are oral tour tasks, creative work, creative exercises, spelling, conjugation, translation, and word usage.
Prize winners participate in the II (national) stage.
The winners of the 1st stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad were:
Student of the SGT-224a group Starchenko Anastasia (2024/2025);
Student of the IKM-224d group Kosenko Dmytro (2024/2025).
In 2020, the head of the department, associate professor Svitlana Cherniavska supervised schoolgirl Akimenko Anastasia, who took first place in the second stage of the All-Ukrainian competition for the defense of research works by students who are members of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
