News from the Summer School “Building sustainable economies after the crisis”. Part 2.

We continue to report on joint training at the Summer School “Building Sustainable Economies after the Crisis” at the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences (Germany). The second week started with an excursion to the logistics company DeltaPort in Wessel (Germany), which is an association of Rhine-Lippe Port, City Port Wessel, and Port of Emmersum.
Our students, together with the teachers of the department (Natalia Shiriaieva, Iryna Sitak, Nataliya Shmatko, Olena Chaikova, and Maria Foshchii) had the opportunity to see a modern, innovative, environmentally conscious, and sustainable approach to logistics processes. The participants visited the distribution center, where they saw the unloading, sorting, and storage of various types of cargo, and also learned about the complete transportation process.
After that, CEO (managing director) Andreas Stolte spoke about the logistics company DeltaPort and answered numerous questions from the students.
A very busy day ended with a workshop by professors of the Rhine-Waal University, Dr. Klaus Krumme and Dr. Jan-Hendrik Kamlage regarding developing the concept of an innovative campus in the region. And again, the workshop turned out to be exciting and productive!
