Open lecture “Supply Chain Finance Perspectives” by Jan Jansen

On March 19 at 14:00, we invite everyone to join the open online lecture “Supply Chain Finance Perspectives” by Jan Jansen. The event will be held in English.

This lecture introduces supply chain finance (SCF) and its four building blocks: Supply chain management, Finance, IT & ERP, and SCF instruments. After introducing the four building blocks, each block will be discussed in detail. Finally, state-of-the-art issues in supply chain management and finance will be discussed to bridge the gap to the real (international) business world of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity. In particular, questions such as liquidity in the supply chain (deep tier financing), dealing with all sorts of risks in the supply chain (resilient supply chains), and being sustainable/circular in the supply chain and its finance will be discussed.

Mr. Jan H. Jansen is an emeritus senior lecturer of Hogeschool Arnhem Nijmegen (HAN University of Applied Sciences, The Netherlands). He publishes in the field of supply chain finance, true costing, and didactics of economics. He was for more than 35 years employed as a senior lecturer and researcher in higher education. He holds a first-level teaching degree in economics (State exams MO KX (1977) and MQ (1978).
