This week, the summer school “Building Sustainable Economies After the Crisis-2” started at the Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences (Germany).
The theme of this year’s school is “Sustainable Business – Billing for Cloud-Based Applications and Services in a SaaS Model.” This topic was offered in cooperation with Scheidt & Bachmann GmbH, one of the leading providers of innovative system solutions. This topic is driven by the rapid growth in demand for cloud services and the need for effective financial management. In today’s business environment, flexible and scalable solutions for automating invoicing processes are becoming critical to the successful operation of companies. It helps to reduce costs, improve accounting accuracy, and provide transparency to customers.
The summer school is attended by students from four partner universities in Ukraine and Germany. Among them are 10 students majoring in Business Education at the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” and 10 students from the Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences.
At the start of the program, the participants gained valuable knowledge about the basics of Software Solutions and Digital Business Models from the lecturers of the Department of Management of NTU “KhPI” – Oleksiy Zakharchenkov and Mykhailo Buriak, as well as from Prof. Dr. Ulrich Pfeiffer from the Rhein-Waal University. This helped the students to understand this year’s topic more deeply.
The participants also had an exciting team-building activity organized by Judith Collier, Dipl.-Kff. (FH), a lecturer at the Hochschule Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences, and were divided into groups to work on a partner company case. Representatives of the company familiarized the participants with their products and details of the case, the results of which will be presented by the students in a week.
We wish all participants productive work and inspiration! Follow the updates – there are still many interesting things to see!
