There are 5 professors and 4 Doctors of Philosophical Sciences at the department for the moment.
Jakiv Tararoyev graduated Kharkiv state university, 1996, astronomy department. After postgraduate studies, Kharkiv National University, 2001, he passed Ph.D. defence in 2002 on the thesis “Gnoseological problems of early universe cosmology”, specialty 09.00.09 – philosophy of science. Also he passed the defence of his Doctoral thesis “Ontological basis of contemporary physics and cosmology” in 2010, he became the Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, specialty 09.00.09 – philosophy of science. In 2005 he became an associated professor; in 2012 he got the title of professor. Since 2014 he is the head of philosophy department of NTU “KhPI”.
Scientific interests of J. Tararoyev: philosophy of science, philosophical issues of cosmology, history of cosmological views and astronomy, history and philosophy of physics, ontological basis of scientific knowledge, forms and methods of scientific knowledge genesis, social and cultural basis of science. He is a specialist on philosophy of science, on the ontology of science particularly physics and cosmology. He is also the author of the original concept – ontological basis of contemporary natural-science knowledge according to which natural reality fixed in theory is the human’s mind construct composed of theoretical and practical activity elements.
Olga Dolska graduated Kharkiv state university, 1990. After postgraduate studies, V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, she passed Ph.D. defence in 2003 on the thesis ““Home” metaphor in the semiotic model of European culture”, specialty 09.00.04 – philosophical anthropology, philosophy of culture. In 2010 in H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv national pedagogical university she passed the defence of her Doctoral thesis “Transformation of rationality in the education field”, after this she became the Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, specialty 09.00.10 – philosophy of education. Since 2012 she is a professor. She is also a member of Philosophy of Education Society of Ukraine (PhESU) and Society of Philosophical Pedagogy named after Bronislav F. Trentowski (TPE).
Scientific interests of O. Dolska: philosophy of rationality, epistemology, philosophy of education, philosophical anthropology, philosophy of contemporary society. She occupies the issues on rationality, epistemology, post-phenomenology, rationality in education, education in information society. Also she is the author of the teaching of philosophy dependence of the dominant rationality type concept.
Eleana Vladlenova graduated V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, 2002, astronomy department. After postgraduate studies, V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University she passed Ph.D. defence in 2006 on the thesis “Social and cultural status of astrology”, specialty 09.00.04 – philosophical anthropology, philosophy of culture. In 2014 she passed the defence of her Doctoral thesis “Transformation strategies of post-not-classical science basis (on input of astroparticle physics)”, she became the Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, specialty 09.00.09 – philosophy of science. Since 2011 she is an associated professor.
Scientific interests of E. Vladlenova: philosophy of science, philosophical issues of cosmology, history and philosophy of physics, social and cultural basis of science. Political philosophy, philosophy of law, philosophical issues of geopolitics, manipulating of social thought, information impacts.
Nataliia Godz graduated H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv state pedagogical institute, 1992, and got the qualification as teacher of biology and chemistry. 1994 also graduated Kharkiv state university and got the psychologist profession. After postgraduate studies, V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, she passed Ph.D. defence in 2004 on the thesis “Cultural stereotypes in Ukrainian folk tales”, specialty 09.00.04 – philosophical anthropology, philosophy of culture. Also in 2019 she passed the defence of her Doctoral thesis “Philosophical basis of ecological future researches”, in H.S. Skovoroda Institute of Philosophy of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. She received the Doctor of Philosophical sciences degree, specialty 09.00.09 – philosophy of science. Since 2007 she is an associated professor.
Scientific interests of N. Godz: philosophical anthropology, philosophy of culture, philosophy of science, philosophical issues of future researches, history of future researches and retro-future researches, cultural stereotypes and identity, folklore. She occupies with ecology, future researches and retro-future researches. She is also the co-author of the original concept of ecological future researches according to which natural reality could be studied and predicted at any stage. In addition she is interested in researches of national and ethnic character traits including their comparative analysis.
All the Doctors of Philosophical sciences may be theses supervisors of postgraduate students including foreigners. Independently of the basic education everyone may enter a Ph.D. programme on Philosophy (specialty 033) at the department to continue scientific activity. Philosophy gives such opportunity inasmuch as most contemporary philosophical investigations are based on the interdisciplinary angle. Among department’s postgraduate students there are: lawyers, lecturers in Law who are doing their theses on law scope, philosophy of law and political philosophy; militaries who investigate hybrid wars, geopolitical factors of impact, governing methods; there are also chemists investigating philosophical issues of natural sciences, and yoga teachers researching the cultural aspects of yoga. There are also several Chinese postgraduate students who are going to enter department’s Ph.D. programme for continuing their master researches in philosophy dimension including Marxism, geopolitical impact of China and philosophy of education. Philosophy department’s postgraduate students who have philosophical basic education investigate the problems of logic, analytical philosophy, philosophical anthropology and philosophy of culture. Department may propose as well the providing of conferences, round-table talks, common publications, internships etc.
