The final round of the International Business Plan Competition which was organized by the University of Hartford, Barney School of Business, USA was held at the NTU “KhPI” on April 25th, 2013. The competition, the final of which included teams from the United States, Taiwan, Ukraine and Finland, was held as the online conference, where students first presented their project in English, and then answered questions from the judges of the International Jury. Ukraine was represented by two teams from the NTU “KhPI” this year. One of the teams represented Strategic Management Department and the other one represented Faculty of Economics. Students from the Economics Faculty presented the project “The Tan Studio”. This project was very interesting due proposal of the new tanning technology, which has never been used in Ukraine before.
The team consisting of the Strategic Management Department students Anna Kishkinova, Dasha Tonkopeeva, Svetlana Koziar and the “Translation” specialty student Bogdan Chuiko presented the project “Rendering of Services in the Creation of Drinking Water Collection and Purification Systems”. Teaching Assistant Karina Bukrieieva and Professor Igor Kononenko were Project Coordinators. All the projects were developed to a high standard and adequately represented in the competition, receiving high scores and the interest of the Jury. On the results of the competition the project developed by magistracy students of our Department majoring in Project Management was awarded as ”The Best Social Benefit Innovation Project”. Excellent teamwork, professional business planning, ability to creative presentation and high level of English proficiency, were the main keys to success of our students.
